Rehabilitation in spinal cord injuries provides the nurse with a detailed overview, not only of the anatomy and physiology of the vertebral column, nerves etc., but also of the patients complex care needs. It provides a clear and precise account of the multifaceted complex considerations required to educate, nurse and rehabilitate any patient with a spinal injury, in a holistic and individualised manner. In my opinion, I can also see this text being used in conjunction with patient education to rationalise the necessary interventions to promote rehabilitation and compliance.
